Global responsibility, local support

As a global company with around 11,200 employees, we acknowledge our social responsibility. As part of our sustainability strategy, we are involved in social projects as well as projects in the areas of science and education, culture, sports and the environment. We specifically value projects that have a local tie to our locations. We also want to motivate our employees to get active. That is why we are also happy to support their social commitments as well.

Helping Hands - Support for your voluntary work

Worldwide
Dedicated People - that's what we at Eberspächer call people who are committed and take respon­sibility. In the MOVE strategy, they are an important component for the company's success. Many of our employees even go one step further and engage in volunteer work outside of work. This commitment also makes up our Dedicated People and wants to be promoted and appreciated by Eberspächer. For this reason, the company supports the voluntary and honorary commitment of its employees as part of its global employee engagement program. In the fall of each year, Dedicated People worldwide can submit projects in which they are active as volunteers and receive funding of up to 1,000 euros.

Adventure training for children of employees - summer holiday program focusing on personal development and environmental protection

Oradea/Romania
Every year since 2019, our site in Romania has organized the EberCamp, a five-day summer vacation program for employees' children. The specially designed program included communication, creativity and adventure. Among other things, the camp strengthened teamwork skills, motivated a mindful engagement with the environment and stimulated the children's creative power.
A trash collection campaign was held together with local companies. Trees were also planted during the camp.

Christmas initiative - Gifts for children with special needs

With the Christmas holidays just around the corner, our colleagues organized numerous Christmas activities in December 2022.
As part of the Mexican tradition "Posadas," our employees visited an elementary school in San Gregorio for low-income children and a facility for children with disabilities, giving them toys, bags of candy and a Christmas piñata.

Great help! - Local support in South Africa's elementary school

Port Elizabeth/South Africa
Since 2013, Eberspächer has been supporting the Lamani Primary School at its Port Elizabeth location in South Africa. When the school was on the verge of closure for financial reasons, the Eberspächer team came to the rescue. Our colleagues in Port Elizabeth have already achieved a great deal: for example, renovated classrooms, a fully equipped library, a computer center, and the expansion of e-learning offerings. Eberspächer also provides cereals on a monthly basis to ensure that the children have a daily meal at school.

Sponsorship drives - all the way to the half-marathon race

Tondela/Portugal
As the main sponsor, Eberspächer supports the half marathon in Tondela. Employees from our Portuguese site also run in the distances of eight to 21.1 kilometers. Through sponsorship, we support local ties to the region and strengthen internal team spirit. We also sponsor various regional runs at other Eberspächer locations, e.g. the Eßlinger Zeitung Lauf or the Südpfalz company run.

Sustainability Projects Junior Company "Young Eberspächer"

Esslingen/Germany
Taking responsibility for tomorrow! Our trainees and dual students pursue this objective with topics, concepts, products, and optimization ideas in the area of environmental protection and sustainability.
The 2022 project excursion of Esslingen's trainees and dual students was also all about sustainability: both when traveling to Ludwigsburg by bus and train and when collecting waste during a canoe trip. In addition to the sustainability aspect, the program also included team building, a joint lunch and lots of fun.
We look forward to successful projects from "Young Eberspächer"!

Family first - Open day for the families

Sorocaba/Brazil
Our colleagues from the Purem by Eberspächer site in Sorocaba in Brazil celebrated their first family day in fall 2022! Around 250 visitors enjoyed snacks and drinks and were able to gain personal insights into the company. There were also many children among the visitors: they were thrilled to see the machines that produce exhaust systems for Clean Mobility and had fun with the games and toys provided.
As a family business, we are convinced that there is nothing better than creating a family-friendly environment for our employees. - Numerous sites therefore diligently organize annual family days or "open days"!

Recipe for "the best school day ever

Cluj-Napoca/Romania
Take a handful of software and mechanical engineers, a class of curious seventh graders, add a group task that requires a little gumption, a lot of testing, and a dash of competition.
That's what our Dedicated People from Romania came up with in January 2023 to teach students at ELF Theoretical High School about working at the Research and Development Center in Cluj-Napoca.
The children spent a day with graduates of the Eberspächer Embedded Software Academy program and some experienced team members. In teams, they competed in programming a ball to move and display the exact time on a clock.

Initiatives that save lives - blood and plasma donations 

Mississauga/Ontario, CanadaSeveral times our Canadian colleagues have already organized a blood and blood plasma donation drive. They were picked up from our location near Toronto and brought to Canadian Blood Services!
Did you know. Plasma can be donated more frequently than blood. Men can donate every week, women every 14 days.

Promoting the Eberspächer family - company-owned day care center for children

Esslingen/Germany
To support families at our site in Esslingen, we offer a company-owned childcare center. The special thing about it is the joint activities and projects of the so-called "Glühwürmchen" (English: "fireflies") with our employees. In the past, for example, the children have performed at company anniversaries and built island hotels with our trainees.

Charity Month - donations and campaigns for aid organizations

Novi/USA 
Our Novi site in the USA organized a Charity Month in November 2022. Here, our Dedicated People were able to participate in various events:
For example, colleagues were able to buy raffle tickets and, with a little luck, win a themed basket, which were sponsored by the various departments. All proceeds go to the Michigan Humane Society. Some colleagues volunteered to support the nonprofit food rescue organization Forgotten Harvest by packing emergency food boxes, repackaging or sorting fresh, nutritious food. It was a great opportunity to do some team building and give back!
