  • Our area of responsibility is much more than technical.

    Social commitment

Global responsibility, local support

As a global company with around 10,600 employees, we acknowledge our social responsibility. As part of our sustainability strategy, we are involved in social projects as well as projects in the areas of science and education, culture, sports and the environment. We specifically value projects that have a local tie to our locations. We also want to motivate our employees to get active. That is why we are also happy to support your social commitments as well.

Helping Hands – Special support for volunteers

Dedicated People - that is what we at Eberspächer call people who act with commitment and take responsibility. In the MOVE strategy they are an important component for the success of the company. Many of our employees even go one step further and are also involved in voluntary work outside of the company. This commitment also makes up our Dedicated People and is something that Eberspächer wants to promote and appreciate. That is why the company supports the voluntary and honorary commitment of its employees within the Helping Hands initiative. In the autumn of each year, Dedicated People can submit projects worldwide in which they work on a voluntary basis and receive a donation to their social project of up to 1,000 euros.

Help in a class all its own!

Port Elizabeth/ South Africa
Since 2013, Eberspächer has been supporting the Lamani primary school at our Port Elizabeth location in South Africa. The Eberspächer team came to the rescue when the school was facing closure for financial reasons. Our colleagues in Port Elizabeth have already achieved great things: such as renovating classrooms, fully equipping the library, creating a computing centre and expanding the school's e-learning programs. Eberspächer also provides grain each month to ensure children have a daily meal at school.

Innovative support wins

Brighton, MI/USA
Eberspächer has been supporting the “TechnoDogs” since 2018. This school group at a local high school from Brighton, Michigan (USA) took part in the worldwide FIRST Robotics competition. Each student team had to build a large robot. The TechnoDogs worked hard to beat out thousands of teams from all of the world. They won the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Detroit in 2019.

Specialised knowledge for the experts of the future

As a gold sponsor of the Formula Student racing team at the University of Stuttgart, we are glad to support young, talented students with expertise and technology. Formula Student is an international design competition for students from all over the world who exchange the classroom for the workshop for a season: Each team builds a single-seat Formula racing car and manufactures a ready-to-drive prototype. The race cars compete against one another on the track, vying for the coveted Formula Student trophy.
With many years of expertise in developing and producing components for exhaust systems and complete systems, Eberspächer is the perfect partner for the University of Stuttgart racing team.

Support for the Eberspächer family

Eberspächer provides local support, support that doesn’t stop outside our door. We actively involve the children in the in-house childcare facility at our Esslingen location in what is happening within the company. Each year, our “young developers” build an insect hotel under the leadership of Eberspächer trainees. This helps them learn about nature and technical topics, and supports the youngest members of the Eberspächer company family.

Adventure training for employees’ children

Our location in Romania organised the first EberCamp in Summer of 2019, a five-day summer camp for employees’ children. The program created specially for the camp included communication, creativity and adventure. The camp helps build teamwork skills, motivates children to pay attention to the environment, and stimulates their creative energies.

Training for talented young employees

One of many projects being undertaken by the Eberspächer location in Poland is its cooperation with the commercial college of Brzeg. Our local employees support teenagers with training sessions in the areas of logistics, finances, production management and human resources. This helps them foster the potential of talented young people, improving their opportunities on the job market.

Sponsorships and promotions

Eberspächer is one of the major sponsors of the half marathon in Tondela. Employees at our Portuguese location will also be running in races between eight and 21.1 kilometres. Our sponsorship helps promote our local ties to the region, strengthening our internal team spirit. We also support different regional races at other Eberspächer locations, such as the Eßlinger Zeitung Lauf (Esslingen newspaper run) or the Firmenlauf Südpfalz (Südpfalz company run).
